1. Product Details
These Handmade Vintage Snake Drop Earrings reinterpret the timeless serpent motif with elegance rather than aggression. Instead of depicting a fierce snake, the design celebrates graceful movement, transforming the serpent into a symbol of wisdom, rebirth, femininity, and quiet strength.
Each pair is handcrafted from H65 jewelry-grade brass, selected for its durability and ability to preserve exceptionally fine sculptural details. Every section of the snake‘s body is individually modeled through traditional hand-carved wax sculpting before casting, creating articulated scales that flow naturally along the curve of the ear.
The raised scales are enhanced with matte black enamel, creating dramatic contrast against the antique gold finish while emphasizing the dimensional craftsmanship. The body is pavé-set with genuine Swarovski crystals, carefully arranged to reflect light from every angle. Emerald-green Swarovski crystals form the snake‘s eyes, adding an expressive focal point that brings the creature to life.
Suspended beneath each serpent is a polished natural teardrop gemstone. One earring features deep emerald green stone while the other is finished with rich ruby red stone, creating a sophisticated asymmetrical composition rarely found in contemporary jewelry. The gentle movement of the stone drops elongates the neckline and adds fluid elegance with every step.
The earrings are finished with 925 sterling silver posts, making them comfortable for sensitive ears while maintaining everyday wearability despite their statement appearance.
Every surface is individually polished and antiqued by hand, ensuring each pair carries subtle differences that celebrate true artisan craftsmanship rather than factory perfection.
2. My Story
Hello, I‘m Lisa, a second-generation jewelry artisan and graduate of the Birmingham City University School of Jewellery.
I grew up surrounded by traditional jewelry tools, learning wax carving, casting, polishing, and finishing long before jewelry became my profession.
Rather than relying entirely on digital modeling, I continue to create many of my collections through traditional hand-carved wax sculpture because I believe true craftsmanship leaves behind a warmth that machines cannot reproduce.
Vintage European jewelry, museum collections, mythology, and natural forms constantly inspire my work. My goal is never to copy historical jewelry but to reinterpret classic symbols with a contemporary artistic language.
This serpent collection reflects that philosophy—transforming one of history‘s oldest jewelry symbols into something elegant, wearable, and emotionally expressive.
Each piece is handcrafted patiently, allowing every scale, curve, and crystal setting to become part of a story that can be worn for years rather than seasons.
3. Styling Suggestions
These earrings are designed to become the focal point of sophisticated vintage-inspired styling.
For formal evenings, pair them with a black satin gown, champagne silk dress, or velvet cocktail dress. Wear your hair in a low chignon or soft waves to showcase the sculptural silhouette. No additional statement jewelry is needed.
For elevated office dressing, combine them with an ivory silk blouse, tailored black trousers, and a structured blazer. A delicate gold necklace balances the boldness of the earrings while maintaining refined elegance.
For modern vintage styling, wear them with a fitted leather jacket, wide-leg denim, and antique gold accessories. The black enamel and antique brass finish complement rich textures beautifully.
For romantic French-inspired outfits, style them with a V-neck knit dress, Mary Jane shoes, and a vintage shoulder bag. The graceful curves of the serpent naturally frame the face while the gemstone drops add movement and sophistication.
4. Who I Design For
I create jewelry for people who appreciate artistry before trends.
These earrings are designed for collectors of vintage jewelry, museum lovers, designers, artists, architects, fashion editors, and women who enjoy wearing meaningful statement pieces instead of mass-produced accessories.
They are for those who appreciate symbolism, craftsmanship, and timeless design—individuals who understand that jewelry should tell a story rather than simply complete an outfit.
Every piece I create is intended to become a future heirloom: something treasured not only for its beauty but also for the craftsmanship, imagination, and emotion embedded within it.
