1. Product Details
This Museum Bird Brooch is one of the signature pieces in my bird collection—a series inspired by the quiet elegance and freedom of birds in nature. Previous bird designs from this collection sold out quickly, and this brooch continues that artistic vision with an even greater focus on sculpture, movement, and collectible craftsmanship.
The brooch is handcrafted using high-quality H65 brass as its foundation. The bird is finished in brilliant white rhodium plating, while the suspended floral setting is richly plated in 24K gold, creating a sophisticated contrast between cool silver and warm gold. This dual-tone finish allows the piece to coordinate beautifully with both silver and gold jewelry.
Every feather across the bird‘s body is meticulously hand-set with hundreds of genuine Swarovski crystals using an advanced pavé setting technique. Rather than relying on machine assembly, each crystal is individually positioned and secured by hand, creating exceptional brilliance from every angle. The wings and tail are sculpted in multiple layers to capture the graceful posture of a resting bird, giving the brooch remarkable depth and realism.
The bird‘s eye is set with a natural Sri Lankan ruby, introducing a vivid point of color that instantly brings life and personality to the design. Suspended beneath the bird is an elegant floral cap completely paved with Swarovski crystals, embracing a rare Swarovski custom-made golden Baroque glass pearl. Its organic teardrop shape and luminous satin finish resemble the beauty of fine South Sea golden pearls while offering exceptional durability. As the pearl gently moves, it creates soft, graceful motion that gives the brooch a refined sense of elegance.
Even the reverse side reflects my philosophy of craftsmanship. Hidden engravings and carefully finished metalwork ensure that every surface—seen or unseen—is completed with equal care. I believe true luxury lives in the details that only the owner may discover. Produced only in very limited quantities, this is not simply an accessory but a wearable work of art created to be treasured for years.
2. My Story & Craft
Hello, I‘m Lisa, a second-generation jewelry artisan and a Jewelry Design graduate from Birmingham City University.
I grew up surrounded by traditional jewelry making in my father‘s workshop, where craftsmanship was part of everyday life. The work of my family allowed me to study professional jewelry design in England, and today I combine traditional artisan techniques with contemporary artistic design.
I have never wanted to create jewelry that follows short-lived trends. Instead, every design begins with hand sketches, sculpture, repeated prototyping, and countless hours of refinement. Many of my pieces are produced only in very small numbers because I believe meaningful jewelry should feel personal, distinctive, and worthy of becoming tomorrow‘s heirlooms.
My dream is simple: to create jewelry that collectors will still treasure decades from now, not because it was fashionable, but because it was beautifully made.
3. Styling Suggestions
This bird brooch transitions effortlessly between professional tailoring, formal evening wear, and relaxed vintage styling.
For elegant office dressing, pin it to the lapel of a black, ivory, oatmeal, or camel blazer, a silk blouse, or a classic trench coat. The combination of white rhodium, warm gold, and sparkling crystals adds refinement without overwhelming a professional wardrobe.
For evening occasions, place it on the shoulder of a velvet gown, satin dress, or cocktail ensemble. The suspended golden Baroque pearl moves gently with every step, while the ruby eye and pavé crystals catch the light beautifully, allowing the brooch to become the centerpiece of your entire look without needing additional necklaces.
For everyday vintage styling, wear it on a soft knit cardigan, wool coat, linen dress, or structured handbag. The natural bird motif softens luxurious materials and creates an effortless French-inspired elegance perfect for gallery visits, afternoon tea, weekend outings, or travel.
