1️⃣ The Piece
This brooch reimagines an everyday object — the safety pin — as a piece of wearable jewelry.
The design began as a conceptual idea during my university years: transforming something ordinary into something unexpectedly elegant. The form remains intentionally simple, yet the details elevate it far beyond its utilitarian origin.
Crafted from solid brass and finished with warm 24K gold plating, the surface carries a subtle vintage patina that gives the piece depth and character. At the head of the pin, a small Swarovski crystal is set within an eye-shaped form, surrounded by delicate engraved details that create a quiet focal point.
Unlike traditional brooches that rely on elaborate decoration, this design relies on contrast — between everyday function and jewelry craftsmanship.
The result is a piece that feels both intellectual and playful.
2️⃣ My Story
I am a second-generation jewelry artisan.
My father built his life through craftsmanship, and I grew up inside a working jewelry studio long before I formally studied design. Watching pieces being cast, polished, and finished shaped how I understand jewelry today.
Later I studied jewelry design, but my inspiration has always come from questioning what jewelry can be.
This brooch was born from a sudden idea during my university years — a moment of curiosity:
What if the simplest object in daily life could become jewelry?
Years later, I refined that idea into this piece.
My long-term dream is to build a museum dedicated to jewelry craftsmanship. Every design I create is a step toward that vision.
3️⃣ Styling Suggestions
This piece is extremely versatile and surprisingly practical.
• Pin it at the collar of a chunky knit sweater to close the neckline elegantly.
• Use it on a wool coat lapel as a minimalist statement accessory.
• Attach it to scarves or shawls to secure fabric while adding character.
• Wear it traditionally as a brooch on jackets, blazers, or coats.
Because the form echoes a familiar everyday object, it feels effortless to wear — yet the refined materials give it a distinctive artistic presence.
This is jewelry that blends into daily life while quietly standing out.
4️⃣ Who I Design For
I do not design jewelry for disposable fashion.
I do not create pieces for people looking for the cheapest accessory or short-lived trends.
My work is created for individuals who appreciate thoughtful design — people who enjoy objects with ideas behind them.
For collectors.
For artists.
For people who understand that jewelry can be both functional and conceptual.
If you simply want another accessory, this piece may not be for you.
But if you appreciate originality, creativity, and small pieces of wearable design thinking — then you will understand exactly why this brooch exists.
