1. Product Details
These Artisan Parrot Earrings are among the signature pieces from my celebrated Bird Collection, a series that represents some of my most accomplished sculptural jewelry work.
The original design began many years ago as a hand-carved wax model I created for a luxury fashion house. Although the project was ultimately not selected by the brand, I kept the design in my personal archive because I believed it deserved a life beyond a single commission. Years later, it became one of the most distinctive creations in my collection.
Each parrot is meticulously sculpted from H65 brass and finished with a rich vintage gold patina. While the earrings appear substantial and sculptural, the interior structure has been carefully engineered to reduce weight, allowing them to remain comfortable for extended wear.
Every detail begins with traditional wax carving. The claws gripping the branch, the layered feathers, the curvature of the wings, and the expressive posture all require countless hours of hand refinement before casting. The realism of the pose comes not from molding, but from sculpture.
The entire surface is hand-set with genuine Swarovski crystals using intricate pavé techniques. Multiple crystal colors were deliberately arranged to recreate the natural plumage of exotic parrots. Deep ruby reds, vibrant sapphire blues, brilliant greens, and sparkling clear stones create extraordinary depth and movement under changing light.
The contrast between the aged brass finish and the vibrant crystal colors gives the earrings the character of a treasured vintage object—part sculpture, part jewelry, and entirely unforgettable.
2. My Story & Craft
Hello, I‘m Lisa, a second-generation jewelry artisan and Jewelry Design graduate from Birmingham City University.
I grew up in my father‘s workshop, surrounded by tools, gemstones, wax carvings, and traditional jewelry making. Long before I entered university, jewelry had already become part of my daily life.
The Bird Collection has always been especially meaningful to me. Birds possess freedom, elegance, intelligence, and individuality—qualities I have tried to capture throughout my career.
Many people assume these designs begin with computers. In reality, every major form starts with hand-carved wax sculpture. The original version of these parrots was created entirely by hand, layer by layer, before being transformed into finished jewelry.
Today I continue to combine traditional artisan techniques with professional design training, creating pieces that feel less like accessories and more like wearable works of art.
3. Styling Suggestions
These earrings are designed to become the focal point of an outfit.
Pair them with a black satin dress or champagne evening gown for gallery openings, cocktail parties, and formal events. The vivid crystal colors create a luxurious contrast against minimalist silhouettes.
For a modern creative-professional look, style them with an oversized black or oatmeal blazer and wide-leg tailored trousers. The playful sculptural design softens structured tailoring while maintaining sophistication.
For vintage-inspired everyday wear, combine them with a washed denim jacket, fitted knitwear, and an aged leather shoulder bag. The antique gold finish works beautifully with textured fabrics and relaxed styling.
For special occasions, wear them with a flowing acetate or silk dress and minimal additional jewelry. The earrings alone provide enough visual storytelling and artistic presence to complete the look.
4. Who I Create Jewelry For
I design jewelry for people who value originality more than trends.
These earrings are made for collectors, artists, designers, gallery visitors, fashion lovers, bird enthusiasts, and women who appreciate craftsmanship that cannot be mass-produced.
They are not designed for those seeking minimal disposable accessories.
Instead, they are for individuals who notice the subtle details—the hand-carved sculpture, the hours hidden inside a single feather, the careful placement of every crystal, and the story behind a design that survived years in a private archive before finally becoming a finished piece.
If you believe jewelry should express personality, imagination, and craftsmanship rather than simply follow fashion, these parrots were created for you.
